I have 43 smart matches that won't match

When I click on "smart match" there is no confirmation box at the bottom as there is on other merges. What is the reason for displaying a Smart Match and not allowing access to it?

  But, if it's in your merge center (my relatives or managed by me), I agree that it doesn't quite make sense.  If the merge center filter is on "followed by me or managed by collaborators", then again, it could fall into the exclusion area.
