I put a rule in my Outlook to inform folks that as of June, I would not be using my primary email of leon@enographics.com and to auto send a message to the sent-from email indicating that I was changing it to leoneno@gmail.com. You received the email an initiated the email change which I completed. Apparently there were two "Trees" in the database, one with each email and the most robust of the two was the old email address of leon@enographics.com. After successfully completing the email change, you initiated a merge request, in doing so, I now have a scrawny little profile (after researching and giving my son Jerome all the info to start the Geni tree quite a long time ago). My intent was not to change the profile in the system to some scrawny little profile but simply to let senders know that I am changing email addresses. Now, when I try to merge them all I get (many, many times) is:
An unexpected error has occurred.

I am not a Pro user, nor do I envision being a Pro user, when I try to access help (for a problem fully initiated by you), I get the sign up screen and I'm left with a piece of crap profile that I can't ask you to rectify even though you initiated the request.
I would very much like to have the data in the tree which I've had and used for years under the email of leon@enographics.com be my real profile and if there is nothing substantially different in the current profile under leoneno@gmail.com, scrap it, it may have been my attempt to change my password quite some time ago which did not work and since the other profile still existed, it was of no bother to me. As I noticed each address that was sent an auto message, I was recording it in WordPad and was going to take care of either physically going in to change the data to the new email or unsubscribe, whichever I wanted which gave me a good idea on how to decrease the incredible number of email I receive on a daily basis. But, with Geni, you folks initiated everything at the new email after receiving my auto response and now I'm stuck with nothing after doing all the research that brings our family back to Jacques Eno/Enaud/Henault (dit) Canada when the King of France sent my paternal (many great grandmother's ago) from Normandy, France to Canada as marrying types for the men who were working the new found territory.
