I'm trying to merge information into my tree and it goes over to My Heritage and ask for 9.99. How can I merge the information from GENI into my tree?

Jeff, Geni Curator Geni doesn't merge with MyHeritage. Geni profiles can only be merged with other Geni profiles. It sounds like you're describing Smart Matches or Record Matches: http://help.geni.com/forums/21882243-Record-Matches-Smart-Matches-
Those can be confirmed or denied as matches, which helps add sourcing to the profile and hopefully gives you new data, such as dates, family members, etc. You can copy this information over to your Geni profiles manually or use the SmartCopy tool. https://www.geni.com/projects/SmartCopy/18783
