I wanted to add an adopted cousin whose parent is only my aunt (no current spouse); had to add a "placeholder" parent because your program defaults to 2 parents when adding a child; in the real world, adopted children can be added with only 1 parent, not 2; you're welcome.

Bjørn P. Brox Biologically a child cannot (still) have just one parent...
Just add a temporary spouse of your aunt, add the child, change to adopted and then delete the temporary spouse.
