Cannot enter location information

I cannot enter a location...at all. At first it would not accept my location but I managed to get it in. Then when I went to do the next family member it would not even allow me to enter a location. It was like the box was not a hot link. 

I am test driving Geni...I don't understand why this has to be so hard. Why do you have preset location.

For example, I was interning my grandfathers birth location. It is Isleworth, England. We are used to entering it as Isleworth, Middlesex, England. It would not allow for me to enter the name England. So, now it is showing as Isleworth, UK. That is not the proper address. 

Before I move my information over, I hope you will do something about this location issue. I am not inclined to work on a site that I have to fight with or perform extra steps because of the way the software is written. 

I use Reunion on my computer. It is by far the simplest for ease of entry. I do not see why any software is written to make entry less easy.

  Sally, below any location field there is a "Edit location details". If you click that, it will expand and show the individual fields so you can edit them. The "auto-location" is more of a convenance for most locations (Google provides the lookup).

  I am also having trouble with location. I add the information and it changes it to what it wants.  I want to enter Jacksonville Twp, Chickasaw, Iowa but it  gets changed. I want to enter Hansgarden i Ylvisaker, Norum, Sogn, Norway but tht won't work either. HELP. I'm new to this and only started to enter data but if it is this hard I'll quit and go elsewhere.

  also, I see where it can edit information like you stated in your reply, Jeff, but that only works for current address styles. Not historical ones.

  When you enter edit location details there is absolutely no check on what you enter and in what field. Just enter them in are size order, usually country last. If you are not able to ignore the proposed labels simply enter everything in the first field.
