Only two people can be biological parents. If a step parent or two be added they should be in the Step parent category.

Trying to merge the parents of lydia Hopper whose father and son were both Thomas. The one I'm trying to eliminate is Charles Hopper as the husband of Lydia . However the software has concluded that this change splits the tree and won'tallow it.

Both FamilySearch and Wikitree have the same informaiton I do.

Thanks for straighenting this out; the tree will be in concert with other sources when Charles Hopper is eliminated as father to Lydia Ann.
