When I want to connect facebook account, it says The Facebook account is already linked to another profile. and then I'm logged out. When I try to log in with facebook, it gets in an inifnite reload loop. I had another account connected with facebook but i have closed it. Now I can't connect my other account to facebook. Big bug. Please solve it. :)

Jeff, Geni Curator I merged two profiles, but not sure if it is your other account. If you log in and identify another profile as yours, I can merge them. I'm not sure what would be causing the loop. Also, while merging your profile (and processing the pending relationship conflicts), the dates on your mother's parents from the merged in data looks suspect (grandmother being born before her father). Let me know if you need any assistance correcting things - happy to help.

Sorin Mocanu Ok. Thank you! But the facebook connect connect and log in loop is still there. I think the reason is that I connected it to another account, then closed that account. Now when I log in using facebook it searches for the closed account or something.. And when I try to connect it to my account it appears already linked to another account..

Jeff, Geni Curator Hmm, well, if you want you can close this account, we can delete the profile. Then you can create a new account however you want, and I can reconnect you back into your tree. Alternatively, I can request Geni customer service look at your account, but I don't know what the time frame on that would be.

Jeff, Geni Curator Alternatively, you might be able to turn off the social login and just use a Geni login with email.

Jeff, Geni Curator You could try to clear the web browser cookies for Geni. Maybe it's got more than one thing cached.

Jeff, Geni Curator Right, well, if you want to close this account and create a new one, I can link you back to the tree. That's the only thing I can think of. I'll mention it to customer service, but it may take a little while before they can look at it.

Sorin Mocanu I don't think the problem is with the account because I tried to create another one and with the e-mail used with facebook account and to use another mail and it's the same problem.. And I can't use the Log in with facebook option which doesn't involve any account. I also tried to remove Geni from Facebook Apps but still nothing better. My facebook account is in the memory somewhere without any relation to any acount I guess..
