This is a problem when generating a biography where children are listed in this order (2,1,3) instead of the sort order.
Hi Job, can you clarify what you mean when you say there's a problem generating a biography?
The biography list the children in the order shown here (2,1,3) instead of 1,2,3
In general that means it is less easy to spot problems with the children like duplicates, children born too close to each other or connected to the wrong parent (when parents have multiple marriages)
It most cases ordering works without problem, so there must be something different with these children.
Thanks. We're looking further into this.
Hi Job, the birth order sorting should be fixed now for this profile.
Sorry, but it is not fixed. I'm still seeing this and rearranging seems to work, but after saving and re-displaying I'm still getting this:
This results for the parents in a biography where the children are in the wrong order
Could it be there is a problem with sorting with circa date where the others are exact dates?
Job, I'm not able to reproduce this. I see them in the correct order if I try to edit the birth order for Maartje Louter.
Have you tried clearing your browser cache?
I'm also still unclear what you mean when you say, "This results for the parents in a biography where the children are in the wrong order."
Geni doesn't automatically generate a biography. What are you using to create this?
I did notice that the Descendant report is showing them out of order.
I'm using SmartCopy to generate a biography (a version that I edited to do a better translation than the current version)
I do see them in the right order now so something is changed (just tried to see if activating inline translation changed anything, but is does not. I see them in the correct order activated and not activated). I'll test some more tomorrow
It now works correct, so it seems you did change something.
