There are divorces, deaths and more that I cannot remove.

Job Waterreus If there is wrong information in a profile you can ask the managers to correct the info.
If that does not help and the profile is public, you can ask a curator to help you (post in https://www.geni.com/discussions/272643 and give a link to the problem profile there)

Steve Mitchell What managers? I am the one who created the whole thing?
-
Steve Mitchell Thanks for your help, btw...
-
Job Waterreus It that case you should be able to correct the info.
Can you give an public profile example?

Emily Kent Marget Steve & Job - Today, Geni is doing security upgrades. It's affecting lots of things.

Steve Mitchell Not sure why this preview is so tiny, but this is it:

Thanks again. -
Geni Support Team Hi Steve, can you please clarify what incorrect relationships you are trying to remove?
To change the relationship status to divorced, you simply need to click "Edit" and select the Relationship tab. In the dropdown for the partner relationship, select the option for divorced.

Steve Mitchell I added a cousin's sister as his mother.
And no - a simple "Edit" is not working. -
Geni Support Team From your description, it sounds like you added a person to the wrong place in the tree. Can you please post a link to the profile that is misplaced so that I can walk you through how you can fix this?

Not son of - sister of. -
Geni Support Team Since you haven't added much information to either profile and the tree is just the two of them, the easiest way to fix it is simply to delete one and then added a new profile with the correct sibling relationship.
Alternatively, if you don't want to delete it, then you can add their parents the tree. Then click "Edit" on Terry's profile, select the Relationship tab, and choose the correct set of parents from the dropdown.
This blog post explains how to fix wrong parents. The screenshots are of our old tree interface, but the steps are still the same. https://www.geni.com/blog/geni-tips-how-to-fix-wrong-parents-89660.html

Steve Mitchell I'll do that, but a system that has been around this long should have a simple means to correct a simple error without having to del and recreate.
Anyway.
