Ysearch and Mitosearch uploads

These are exciting times for Geni." This is not at all exciting for the people concerned. You have created thousands of "ghost profiles" for people who allready exist in Geni and they get their own ghost as matches.

As well, or bad, living people are connected to Geni without their own knowledge. How can they get their profiles and DNA-haplo information away from Geni?

What is the purpouse of this mayhem?

  In addition, I would like to have Geni to clarify, why the match result with these Mitosears-profiles in Geni differ systematicly with 1 genetic distandce from original results I have in FTDNA, including my self?

  Where does Geni get the Genetic distance 1 from?

  Mitosearch results include only mitocondrial regions HVR1 and HVR2. Yet, match details say:

  Genetic distance: 1

  • Exact match on 2 mitochondrial regions (HVR1, HVR2)
  • The above genetic data indicate a 50% chance this person is related within 28 generations.
  • DNA testing suggests this profile could be a relative who is currently not in the family tree. View the Ancestor Report for (My Profile) and Profile Hidden X to look for ancestors with similar names or locations
