I am adding a new person to the familly tree and when I enter Date of birth and Date of death, Gen-i wants me to select Living or Deceased status for this person which is not logicial, if a Date of death is entered than Gen-i should recognize that this person is deceased.

Hi, you're right. The living status should already be selected if you are able to enter the date of death. Can you please post a link to the profile where this is happening?

Thanks. This may have to do with the dates of the surrounding profiles. When adding profiles here, the living status is not automatically selected, thus all the fields are shown. If living is selected, then the fields for a death event disappear.
