A. Is there a diiference when merging two profies: which one is merged and the one that is being merged into? (Technically on the screen - the profile that is beeing merged into is on the left, and the one that is being merged is on the right!)
B. Analogical question, but on the page that enables resolving conflicts. To indicate which profiles should be merged one has to drag one profile on top of another. Is there a difference which profile is on top and which one is covered on the bottom?

Job Waterreus As far as I know not really, but it could be that one profile is private and the other public. It could be that you are not allowed to drag the private profile, but are allowed to do a merge request for the public profile.

Krzysztof Jan Czernek Thanks, I also did not see substantial differences.
But i did not take "notes".
Now I just wonder which fields are taken into account in case of conflicting data. I never recorded in detail the merging process. Just if something was wrong after the merger I just made corrections. But if one is merging a whole branch, than making hand corrections can be difficult and it would be good to know the algorithm. And here comes in the "master profile". But I can not really find a detailed explanation what it is.
Thanks, Br Krzysztof

Job Waterreus There is a lot of documentation available see https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/categories/204159727-Frequently-Asked-Questions
There are also a lot of documentation projects (made by users so things could have changed since it was created). You can find a small list here: https://www.geni.com/projects/Nederlandse-handleiding-GENI-voor-Dummies/13048 (English version, bottom of page)
