When I try to add a new person I click on the plus-sign under the profile. I then get the possibility to choose which relationship the new person has with the with the profile. Then I click on for example "son" and nothing happens. I've restarted and tried to clear things but it doesn't work. Is it a general fault or is it just me? I am a pro-user.

Job Waterreus It may help to give a bit more information like the device and browser that you are using. Does it work if you try to add from a profile page?

Nils Möllerberg I'm on MacBook Air, Sequoia 15.5, using Safari version 18.5. It has been working perfectly until some days ago. When I tried to add family from a profile page it turns just blank.

Do you experience the same issue if you tried a different browser, such as Chrome?

Nils Möllerberg I have cleared the browser cookies - which didn't help. I have also tried Chrome instead of Safari which didn't help either..... I can update and merge profiles but not add new ones....

Geni Support Team Do you have any browser extensions or add-ons? Are you able to add profiles through the side panel in the tree view?
You mentioned that when you tried to add family from a profile page, the page turns blank. Are you familiar with opening the Chrome JavaScript console (Command+Option+J for Mac or Control+Shift+J for Windows)? Please open the console and try to add a relative from the profile page. Please send a screenshot of any errors in the console.

Geni Support Team Hi Nils, are you using a VPN? Some users who have reported the same issue found that by turning off their VPN, they were able to add profiles to the tree once again. If you are using a VPN, can you please try turning it off?
