Geni Support Team Hi Oron, once a person has claimed their account on Geni, only they will be able to make changes to their profile. If they would like to allow close relatives to edit their profile, then they will need to log in to their account and update their profile settings. They simply need to check the box "Let my family edit my profile" and save.

Oron Chen the person didnt claim their acount, they were added by family member and he made it private, so they never claim it, and never got in. if they will registered as new they will have double identity

Geni Support Team Hi Oron, if the profile was born within the last 150 years, then users have a right to keep those relatives private. However, if the profile was born more than 150 years ago, then you can ask a curator if they can make the profile public.

Oron Chen all i want is to connect two trees together [ the same people are in both trees. [no doubt about it this is not the issue ] just in one tree the people are private because the person who puts them in the tree did it like that . and that manager is old and we cant tell him to change those profiles to regular. i now i can build the second tree by coping the profiles one by one. but this is not the point i want the system do it automaticly. i am talking on profiles of people alive. for sure it is in the last 150 years. the people involve also want not to be private
