Improvement suggestion for the Tree

One of the principal tools I use on Geni is the Tree. However, the interface is tremendously slow, painful, and provides a poor overview of the tree. I attach three screenshots of my tree going to earlier ancestors. On the first page it ends with 8 ancestors, on the next there are again 8 (with 8 different to try to remember, i.e. 64 ancestors), on the next after this there are again 8 (8x8x8 or 512). Sure, some lines stop after a few iterations, but other go to the early 12th century and beyond.

It's easy to see it gets exceedingly impractical to work with large trees and get an overview on which ancestor is on which subtree.

What if you, for example, made a continuous tree that you could move up or down by holding down the mouse (instead of opening a new page)? Or could get an overview with any amount of ancestors (ex. 1000)?
