  Only curators can un-merge or upload GEDCOM files. Geni has with good reasons to not give all the users the right to un-merge or upload GEDCOM.

  A correction: Not even curators have access to load GEDCOM files into Geni. It is years since that was disabled, simply because you usually just need to add a handful ancestors until you hit duplicates telling that these people are already in the world tree.
