Is there a bug? Am I doing something wrong? Please do not tell repeat instructions telling me how to export a GEDCOM. I have tried several times and only get 11 names in forest mode and 9 in ancestor.
I am a PRO user so I know these are not even a tiny fraction of the numbers I should be able to export.
In the export page you should be told what your max is. You have also info about this in the help pages.
There is two limitations: The Pro/Basic user limitation (Pro is max 50000), and the most important one: What is your own contribution to the tree? - you can only export max 4 times the number of profiles you have added your self.
This limitations was probably introduced to avoid that people join Geni just to grab a GEDCOM of other peoples work.

Does that mean that people who are in my family tree but who were already on Geni.com do not count because I did not add them?
I joined Geni to do genealogical research into my family. As part of that there are two specialist groups that I wanted to share the tree with. One is Scandinavian. The other is Jewish. Are you telling me that I have reached the limit for export and after months of searches all I can send them is 11 names?
If that is true then Geni.com is a con a conclusion I had already reached in relation to DNA testing. I paid for DNA testing when Geni.com offered it (through My Heritage which I understand owns Geni.com), thinking that I could import the results and link them to my family tree. Once I got the results, I discovered that Geni.com has been working on making it possible to import My Heritage DNA results for over five years but has not got there yet. If I can't import my DNA results into Geni.com and can't export my GEDCOM to specialist groups what am I a PRO member for?
If this is true, I will not be renewing my PRO membership although I understand that I will then have lost all the work I have done.

If you hit that personal limit you can ask the one who built your family tree here on Geni to make the export. Personally I would probably have rejected if the purpose by joining Geni was just to grab a GEDCOM of my and other family members work to upload it on another site, but it never hurts asking.
When it comes to import MyHeritage and other than DNA tests other the the one from FTDNA, they are still working on it (the curators did a beta test for two weeks ago, but there is no date for the release), but if you are impatient you can upload your DNA data to FTDNA and then link it to the matching Geni profile.
