Unable to contact matches

I merged my Y-DNA results from FTDNA and found matches that I want to contact. However, when I try to contact them, it switches to YSearch.org. That may be fine for existing users of YSearch but I was informed by tech support at FTDNA that the YSearch is not supported and new users cannot be added. 

Since I am not a member of YSearch, it will not allow me to send messages. I cannot contact my DNA matches. If that is the case, then the Geni.com system holds NO VALUE to me.

  You should be able to contact matches on Geni who are Geni users.  Are you still having problems?

  I can contact autosomal DNA matches. 

  However, when I try to contact someone (or manager) on my Y-DNA list, I get the 404 message below:

  Server Error

  404 - File or directory not found.

  The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
