HELP!!! Vandalism, inaccurate information etc

Can anyone help me???  I have a distant family member that constantly adds duplicate profiles, incorrect information, never ever lists sources so I can't always verify what she has added.  I have documented what she has done with links and screen caps. 

Now this morning, I discovered that she deleted MANY profiles and/or deleted the information that I added.  I am confident the information I added was correct as the person it was added to was a famous poet.  Now all his wifes/partners and children are listed as "NO NAME" I  can see in the revisions that she made changes (deleted information) and then deleted the profiles.  Isn't this vandalism??  

I opened a ticket with GENI but I'm not a PRO or paying member so I don't know if they will ever help.  Should I do the 14 day trial and HOPE they will help me???    BELOW are some of the duplicate profiles she added 5 days after I added those people.

Daniel Harris I had already added, she duplicated

Ebenezer Harris, I added, she duplicated

Isabella BUrnes I added she duplicated

John Burnes she deleted KNOWN B & D  information from.  

The LORINDA -- LRINDA SHarons wife added in 2017 and Sharon duplicated the profile in 2018.  

 

I am really beyond frustrated at this point.  I have been on geni since 2008 slowly adding ancestors as I had time and information.  Its disappointing to see someone come in and make a mess.

  Heres another one.  She deleted all the name birth death info from.  Vandalism??  I'm really tired of this.

  I believe I straightened out the Robert Burns tree yesterday -- it was a duplicate and I merged it in and cleaned things up.  I will keep an eye on things.

  What about all the information she deleted?  I was under the impression that is not allowed? Check this profile.  Maybe she just doesn't know how to use the site??  She deleted the contents of the profiles instead deleting or merging the profiles??   Did Geni sort this out please. As I have a similar issue. My Grandfather now has siblings on the tree that dont exist  and his mother would have been over 50 years old when a few of them were born.  Can wel block users friin editing our tree. I initialy set up the tree so only relatives can edit it.... but this guy is some stranger that made himself a distant relative.  He has provided no sources.  Please where can I get hlep for this ?

  Hello

  The best I can answer is "kind of".  From my understanding, If you aren't a paying member, its difficult to get help with these types of issues.  I felt i was lucky that the person, above, stepped in.  However, the distant family member continues to add people without any sourcing, lots of misspellings, etc.  I pretty much left GENI and now use myheritage.com  . the pricing sucks, but no random person can go in and add willy nilly to my (and my families) family tree.  HTH  Good luck!

  From reading your conundrum of an issue, have you tried contacting the person who's altering all your profiles directly? Seems like this Sharon Lynn McNeil-Blount is causing more of a headache than you ask for.

  As far as your question of whether you want to go on the trial for Geni Pro or get the subscription... DON'T!!! This is the type of stupid sham the curators of Geni are trying to do.

  When things show up as (no name) it doesn't mean that the information was deleted. What actually happened is this Sharon person is going into the profile and is trying to lock permission out of the account you create/update. I'm having that issue right now with my ex-husband locking me out of my own daughter and intermediate family/relative's accounts. Things are either showing up as no name or private because he has tampered permission of these affected accounts so he would have sole control over them. Unfortunately Geni has done jack to resolve my issue yet.

  Anyhow, try reaching the Sharon person and update on what happens.
