Moving a person creates duplicates, wrong duplicate cannot be just deleted, it has to be merged and that creates more and more confusion.
I know you are managing like billions of profiles and are not concerning if I have to erase and retype like 30 persons, but it is annoying. Explain what am I doing wrong, rename "moving" to "copy a person" or resolve the option to be able just delete the duplicates please.
Moving a person doesn't create a duplicate. It's used to either merge a person with a duplicate or connect it to another tree (through marriage for example).
If you want to see if a duplicate is created then watch the Geni ID. If is the same then it connected to the tree on other place. If you are in the graphical tree and you see a 2x or 3x symbol added to the profile, then the same profile is viewable 2x or 3x in the same tree. If you are unsure if a duplicate is created and you want to solve a duplicate by merging or so, then is always possible to ask for help from a curator.
And who is the one you are talking to? I don't think there one manager here that is managing like billions of profiles.
And renaming "moving" to "copy a person" or resolve the option to be able just delete the duplicates is not an answer to solve this feature or issue.
