For the past week, Geni has been automatically a number making public profiles private, shortly after they are first created. Does anyone know why? The profiles are all of deceased people.

Jim Henderson Hi Stephen,
I put in a help request, and the answer is that the rule is no longer as simple as it was. Recently-deceased people are now marked as private by default, because of the new privacy rules in the European Union. You can still make deceased profiles public if you want to, by editing them.
