Problem with adding new profile to a project.

When I add new deceased person's profile, I can't add it to a project. Instead, I must add it as "living" and then change it to "deceased" in order to add it to a project.

  Check the public flag on the profile first. Recently deceased profiles is now added as private profiles because of the new GDPR rules, and you cannot add private profiles to projects.
