When trying to update my relatives DNA results from FTDNA to Geni it always ends up to this: the "authorize" button is inactive and does nothing.
I've disconnected the profile(s) from Geni, I've excepted the terms, I've got the right profile chosen to update etc. but it's not working.
I read a lot about DNA results that not linked correctly with the profiles. But it is not you that did something wrong. So disconnecting the profiles from Geni is not the answer. It is the button that is not working I think. Your guess is as good as mine.

Thank you Jeroen and Björn. I've unlinked the profiles on Geni and on FTDNA but it doesn't make a difference, the "authorize" button is still inactive. So I guess that it's the problem, the button that's not working.
Problem is, that Geni's instructions are incorrect. Besides disconnecting/unlinking the connection you also have to remove DNA results from Geni before re-linking/connecting.
Or, there's still something wrong with how the Family Tree Connector works. Hard to tell because I didn't get any response from Geni when trying to bring this up to their knowledge.

It sounds like you were trying to update FTDNA results for a relative's profile, is that correct? If so, the only option available on the 'DNA' tab of your relative's Geni profile would be to delete the results by clicking the link labeled "You may remove these Family Tree DNA test results from Geni" and then re-link the FTDNA account to the Geni profile. We've tested this and there are no issues appearing with the 'Authorize' button being inactive. Are you still experiencing issues updating the DNA results?
I figured this out. But this is not simply "updating" the results - it's removing the results to get the updated results uploaded. So that's confusing. You need to update your "how to update the DNA results help" section.
