That is a personal setting. On Geni as with all sites with a login you find your account settings by clicking your own name at the top and in the https://www.geni.com/account_settings/permissions setting you have to remove the checkmark on "Let the public search for me"
It might take some time before the search results is automatically cleared from the Google caches, so you might have to search Google for a way to speed up that.
