Geni Support Team Official comment The ability for basic users to view the hovercard in the search results was a mistake and it has now been fixed. Full access to our search engine is a Pro feature. Basic members may only access profiles they manage or collaborate on in the search results for free. These profiles are indicated with a green check mark. For other public profiles, you may search for free using Google.

Abby Barry Bergman I am having the same problem. I think they are FORCING US into paid memberships.

Geni Support Team Hi, can you please clarify where you are unable to view the hovercard? For example, is it on the profile page or from the search results?

Abby Barry Bergman When you search for an individual, EVEN if they have a PUBLIC TREE or a Public Profile, you used to be able to hover over the name and then find another person in that person's tree to whom you can check out and see on the tree. This function has stopped working!!

Abby Barry Bergman Why have your changed your policies without warning? Many of us were able to hover over a searched name and then click on a relative within that name and access the tree. Are you forcing us all into premium memberships? Maybe it's time to only use Familysearch.com which remains free.
