Change to date of death

How can I edit and add a date of death? I still get notified that my dad is turning years even though he died 4 years ago.

  go to your tree, and use the edit link in your father's name box. if the link is not there, click on his name to access his profile page. there's a bunch of links at the right, under the box for finding matches. the last of these is an edit profile link.

  For a profile to show the death date you will have the change the living status and if you want the profile to be public you may also have to change the privacy of the profile (if that was not done automatically when you changed the living status)

  If your father was a Geni user, you may have to report him as having died. You can do that from the actions menu on his profile.
