When I go to my family tree my cursor changes from the usuable "arrow" to a cross and I cannot do anything on the page. I'm not sure why this is happening, but I can go to any other place and the cursor is normal, but it's not until I bring up my family tree that it changes to the white cross.
Help, please.
Hi Sherry, can you send a screenshot and let us know if you are using the HTML tree or the Flash tree and what browser/version you are using?
I've been trying to get a screen shot of the cursor, but no matter what I've done, it doesn't show up on the shot. I've tried both the HTML and the Flash tree, and it does the same on both. I'm using Chrome Version 80.0.3987.87 (Official Build) (64-bit)
I wish I could get a screen shot, but it doesn't show up, I've sent a shot that shows no cursor, No matter how I try to do the screen shot, the cursor doesn't show on the pic I get.
I should add this is the only site that has happened on. I tried again today to take a screenshot of it, and still nothing shows.

I think I got them, my tree still isn't opening in HTML, not sure what's going on, but I did take a pic of the reg cursor on a non-tree area of Geni, and one of it where the tree should be coming up. 
help? anyone know why this is happening? I can't fix any inconsistencies on my tree, any merging, nothing because the Cross won't let me do anything.
Is there anyone who knows the answer to this, I've tried doing the tree in html, and flash both, and no matter what browser I used to do this, it ALWAYS changes to a cross. I just got a new mouse today, and the same thing.
What is going on, I posted a screen shot of it, can anyone out there help me?
We have not been able to reproduce your issue. Are you unable to click on anything in the tree? For example, click the edit icon on a node or open the side panel for a profile? What type of device/computer are you using?
You can still resolve your inconsistencies or view your tree matches by going to your Merge Center (https://www.geni.com/list/matches) or Consistency Checker page (https://www.geni.com/inconsistencies). These can be found under "Research."
Nothing, I even have to reload the page to get back to the home page and start again. I have a HP desktop. I'm going to try again, see if I can do anything, but every time I've done it, the same thing happens.
No, still the same, and it doesn't matter if I use the html tree or the Adobe tree, it does it on both. This is the only page anywhere, that this has happened on.
I also tried to check another's tree, and it doesn't change on those, only the one I have on here. I can't get it to work for anything on my tree. It remains the arrow cursor on the trees of others, though.

I'm guessing this still isn't resolved because I still can't get on my tree to work on it, and I've had one comment that I need to take care of because of information needed by another, and I can't give it to her. Thank you.
Hi Sherry, when you say you "can't get on my tree," do you mean that your tree is not loading?
sORRY, forgot this was here, no, I mean the cursor changes to a cross and I can't do a thing about it. I can't work on the tree, I can't do one thing with the tree, even to extend it and look at what all I've put on there, I'm unable to.

And I've still been unable to work on the tree, so I'm about ready to give up. It does me no good, and I'm going to end up losing everything I've researched that are on the tree because I can't get it to extend. If you look back at this, I started this thread in January, and not until April 1 did I get anything close to it being solved..Now I'm waiting yet again. This is ridiculous and shouldn't be happening, seems I must be the only one it's happening to.

I tried using Edge, and Foxfire and it happened with both, and I'd cleared cache with each, too, and it still happened. I'll look at the link above, and let you know.
Nope, just tried the link above, and everything, it did say it cleared cache once I clicked on there, but I still am getting the cursor changing to a cross. I give up, this is so frustrating, esp when no one else is having the problem.

I tried logging in again, the tree starts out with the arrow, as the wheel is going around, but then before switching to the tree, it changes to the cross. So frustrating.
I'm guessing there's still no "fix" to this problem, which sucks, because I can't do a thing with my family tree anymore. I get that cross and in order to even click on anything I have to reload and do it before the tree loads up again. I can't even expand what I see on the tree, to save the information. A lot of research is being lost because no one can help fix this.

I've tried 3 browsers, FireFox, Google, and IE, the same thing happens. I've cleared cookies over and over, same thing. I disable add-ons, same results.
nothing is working and I'm not getting anywhere after nearly 8 months of trying to get help on this.
Let's try this. We see that your tree was set to display 20 generations of ancestors and descendants, which may be overwhelming your computer's memory. We've reduced it to 5 generations each to see if it helps. Can you please try again?

Unfortunately, I did another clear cache, and it still is coming up with the cross, but now I can click on the print, and how to arrange the tree (the way it shows up) and the settings area, but still can't do anything on the tree itself.
Glad to hear you can now click on those icons. The cross-cursor indicates that you can click and drag the tree around. Are you able to click on a node to show the side panel?
no, I tried clicking on a name, nothing. the only things I get result on are the things I listed, but still nothing with the names themselves.
when I click on the arrows to go further on the person, nothing, same with just clicking on the name, nothing. ATTACHED is a pic of what is clickable and what's not. 
Great, now it went back to not being able to click on anything again after clearing cache. ARRGGGHHHHH.
