Hello, I was given access to a family tree by a family member. I then accepted a merge request by a different family member with another tree. When I did this, I did not have Geni Pro.
Now I have Geni Pro. I want to create my own tree and then merge it with the two separate trees that the other family members created.
What is the best way to do this? Thank you!
Hello Karen,
Geni is one big world tree so we are all working on one tree. You can request to be added as a manager to profiles you are related to as well. You can still merge any profiles that are the same. I am not sure what you are wanting to accomplish but you should be able to accomplish it. There is no limit on merges. If the person is the same then we merge them to prevent duplicates. Gediminas Dubonikas, if you want to do that may be you should look at another platform. Geni tries to build one big Geni World Tree with only one profile for each person.
You can print different tree views however, by selecting different profiles and print a tree based on that profile. From profile view you can use the Actions menu to make reports based on the profile.
