My wife died in 2017 and my sister in 2016.
I have raised this issue before and received no response whatsoever.
Everybody connected to the Geni tree receives messages to congratulate them on their birthday. Which is emotionally most painful.
What is needed to be able to edit their profiles

Hi Jos, if your wife and sister had previously claimed their accounts with their email addresses, you will need to report their profiles as Deceased via the Actions button. Once the profile has been reported, all birthday and anniversary reminders will stop. When our customer service team receives the report, they will be able to assist with unclaiming their accounts so that you may update them to reflect their passing.
