Every time I follow a path into Geni it announces that this version relies on Adobe Flash, but that I can also use an HTML version of Geni, which I do. Adobe Flash is obsolete - you should remove this warning and proceed directly to the html version.

Douglas Wemp SMITH All true ... BUT the HTML version needs desperately to be brought up to snuff. In particular, where is the pedigree view?? and where is control over font size?? forget colors! fix the basics! Thanks

Niclas Carlenius I wish the HTML version (or maybe any better future alternative) would be like Flash. I will keep using Flash until the very end. Not sure if Geni will be as fun as before when Flash comes to its final end. :(

James Knox Russell I find the HTML version good enough. Switching between family tree and pedigree views is available via an icon in the lower right corner.

Douglas Wemp SMITH James Russell: true for Safari, NO icon in lower right for Chrome or FireFox ... and the font in Safari is absurdly large, and the control for font size, default vs large, changes nothing !?! Font size seems ok for a tree from MY stuff, but not from GENI stuff ... weird

James Knox Russell Actually, I'm using Firefox, and have an icon that I can toggle between tree and pedigree views near the lower right of the page. Also, changing font between default and large does have an immediate effect. There must be something different about our configurations.
I'm using Firefox 84.0 (64-bit), on macOS Catalina (10.15.7) with a Geni Basic subscription.

Douglas Wemp SMITH Thanks, James; very helpful. I am using Mojave 10.14.6 on a Late 2013 MacBook Pro, and having troubles with Firefox which I recently installed. I suspect my problems may be due to the 64 bit properties of Catalina (vs 32 bit of Mojave), and use of 64 bit in recent software upgrades (Geni, Firefox), but the old Mac may also be an issue. Time to upgrade!

Douglas Wemp SMITH ok ... updated to Catalina 10.5.7 Installed Firefox 84.0.1. Have Geni Basic subscription. STILL don't see a toggle between Family and Pedigree Views of GENI person when I click on "view tree". Also no font control access. I see only bunch of info, in 4 column; first two are about the GENI person, 3rd is "Related Tress", and 4th is "View Popular Trees". Do you do "View Family Tree" from a Geni Profile, eg Dorothy Stafford at "https://www.geni.com/people/Dorothy-Stafford/6000000006788607091"
Thanks

Geni Support Team Hi Douglas, we do offer a pedigree view of the tree, but you must first be logged into your Geni account. From your description, it sounds like you are viewing a page while logged out. Please log into your account and then click on the pedigree icon at the bottom right corner of the page. See our blog post: https://www.geni.com/blog/html-tree-new-pedigree-view-3102627.html

Douglas Wemp SMITH James and Geni Support Team: thanks so much! Logging in did the trick! So... a combination of upgrading to Catalina, installing and using Firefox, plus logging into my Geni account ... now worked! Font size can be changed and all are of reasonable size, the toggle between Family and Pedigree Views is there ... so: Happy Holidaze to all!
