The Ancestors List report only shows the first 10,000 profiles where Geni reports that I have considerably more than that.
I understand the need to impose a limit for performance reasons but the way this is implemented seems to prevent creative means to get around it.
For example if I add a filter to the List to select only where Gender is Male, I was expecting to get a result that included the first 10,000 Male profiles, thereby doubling the number of profiles I could access.
Instead, the result contained only the 5000+ Male profiles from the original 10,000.
Surely something could be done about this to make the reporting more flexible to overcome the 10,000 limit?
Other useful enhancements to this list would be:
- Ability to change the page size to greater than 20 profiles per page
- Provide a mechanism to jump straight to a Page number when it is currently only possible to access the First and Last and a few in between (yes, I can get around this by editing the HTML but it would help if it was a bit easier)
- Provide the ability to export the list to CSV or XLS with the selected fields - surely this is a standard requirement these days
