The man who is set as my biological father in my tree has turned out not to be that. He is named in my birth certificate though as my father, and I grew up with him as my father. I don´t know who my biological father is, but I am trying to find out through DNA tests.
I would like to remove the father I grew up with from my tree as being named biological father How can I do that? I only see a way of removing a parent by removing both parents. But I don´t want to remove my mother as being my mother.
I have created an ex-partner (named "Private" since I don´t know who he is) for my mother, and I want to place myself with them in the tree as my biological parents. If I do that now I will have 2 sets of biological parents since I don´t know how to remove the relationship in the tree with the father I grew up with.
I hope someone here understands what I am trying to do, and could possibly help me in the right direction.

Job Waterreus In tree view move yourself to EACH of the right parents and specify you are a child of that parent. That will break the connection with the other parent(s)

Monica Hedman Thank you Job Waterreus!
Exactly how do I technically move myself from the wrong parent (father) to the correct one? Sorry but I am so new to this. -
Job Waterreus go to tree view. If you click on your profile (under the name) it will open a side window. there is a More menu in that window. click that and choose move profile. Drag your profile on the first parent and specify you are a child. Repeat but drag your profile on top of the second parent instead. Refresh the screen (F5). Your profile should now be corrected to the correct parents.
