I started a free account on Geni.com just to find out one name and birthdate. After the task was finished I cancelled the free account, within 48 hours. After the two weeks I got a notice from MyHeritage.com that they had withdrawn over a 1.000 krona from my account, as if I ever had had anything to do with MyHeritage. Checking on their website I also say that they had started a website on my name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many laws have they broken, I don't know, but I want the website deleted and the money back that they unlawfully withdrew. It's only afterwards that I learned that Geni and MyHeritage work together, but in that case, my cancellation of the free trial should have gone through to both of them. Very ugly marketing, phishing and fraud!
