Unable to alias profiles in discussions

Apparently the Wikitext implementation for discussions and messages disallows the ability to alias geni profile links as we can do within project and profile “about.” Example: https://www.geni.com/discussions/310158?msg=1827890 shows as [[Barthelemy Louis Grevemberg Barthelemy Louis Grevemberg] Barthelemy Louis Grevemberg] instead of the desired https://www.geni.com/people/Jean-Baptiste-Grevemberg/6000000002318713623. See https://www.geni.com/discussions/310017?msg=1827934 > Here’s an issue encountered yesterday in a discussion post I added to Jean-Baptiste Grevemberg. I copy-pasted Gemini’s output directly from computer to discussion, but because Gemini can’t make a smart link transfer, I used the Geni editing tools to add the link after the paste. That caused Geni to freak out and repeat the same name 3 times. I requested a fix from Gemini and tried again (after deleting the first post), and it happened the same way again. Now it’s still there and I don’t want to delete and re-post again (no edit button for me there) and send out yet another round of notifications to the managers of that profile alerting to the same post. Here’s the short version of Gemini’s explanation and fix (and if a curator can edit JB Grevemberg’s profile without triggering notifications, I’d appreciate it)
