Hello,
I am a Geni Pro subscriber and am attempting to export my family tree via GEDCOM.
Regardless of which export option I choose (Blood Relatives, DNA Relatives, Ancestors, Descendants, or Forest), Geni limits the export to a maximum of 112 profiles.
My tree is connected to the World Tree and contains many more than 112 relatives and ancestors. I can view numerous generations of ancestors on Geni, so the export limit appears unexpectedly low.
Could you please clarify:
- Why is my GEDCOM export capped at 112 profiles?
- How many profiles is my account currently credited with having added?
- Are merged profiles, managed profiles, or World Tree profiles excluded from the export calculation?
- Is there any way for a Pro subscriber to export a larger portion of their ancestral line for personal backup and import into genealogy software such as webtrees or Gramps?
I am primarily looking to preserve my family's genealogy data and direct ancestral lines in a self-hosted system, and the current 112-profile limit seems inconsistent with the size of my tree.
Thank you for your assistance.
