Since the FTDNA connect link isn't working to upload DNA, how would taking one one of the DNA tests offered work? Would the dna get uploaded or is the system issue affecting that as well? This has been going on for 6 months as far as I can tell.

Geni Support Team Hi Leah, if you purchase a FTDNA test through Geni, you will still be able to receive your results on FTDNA. You just wont be able to link your DNA results to Geni until the current issue is resolved.
We are in communication with the FTDNA technical team and we are hopeful they will have this fixed soon.

Geni Support Team Hi Laura. There is currently an issue linking FTDNA results to Geni, therefore, we have temporarily disabled the feature on our side until FTDNA fixes the issue. We will let you know once it has been resolved.

Ирина Асадчая Hi there, I am also support this topic, I am keeping a track for this bug and its still keeps being unchanged since maybe early May month this year (2021), while at FTDNA the notification says, that we will get notification from Geni when the trouble will be resolved, but seems like both companies not hurry to fix the problem ~ So sad, it would be really great feature to use at Geni as here is millions of users...

Antti Olavi Hiillosmäki You cant upload any test results to Geni, the connection between FTDNA and GENI has been unavailable ("broken") from 12.2.2021. That connection made possible to transfer your dna test results and haplogroup info to Geni.

Geni Support Team Hi Alina, we currently only accept FamilyTree DNA test results on Geni. If you would like to receive DNA matches on Geni, you may want to consider uploading your MyHeritage results to Family Tree DNA for free (https://www.familytreedna.com/autosomal-transfer). Once your results have been transferred, you will be able to link your Family Tree DNA account to Geni and import your results.
