Job Waterreus You should probably first assign the children to the right parents.
If you cannot choose the right parents from the drop-down list on the relationship tab of the children, move them in tree view to the right parents and specify that they are a child of those parents.
If the unknown parent is still there you should be able to delete it if does not have any children connected to it.
