Markku Karjalainen Why is Geni constantly so slow?
Trying to build up the tree, but it's impossible.
Very slow response and also "502 Bad Gateway", now and then.
Even I've 50Mbs connection.
This has been known problem for years now, but Geni-team doesn't do nothing to fix this issue.
Only response is that "performance issues are now under control".
They are not.
Please, make your service available for users. -

I understand that, but this has been an issue for me for lose to a year already. I had given up at one point. Is your site supposed to work better on one platform over the other (IE: mobile vs PC)?

Geni Support Team Hi Sarah-Anne, we did major upgrades that should help improve the site response times once our team resolves the current issues.
In answer to your question, PC will work better. We are in the process of optimizing the site for mobile.

Geni Support Team Hi Alta, we responded to your report in the other thread. Note we are aware of a bug that is preventing some trees from loading in the pedigree view depending on the focus person. We should have that fixed shortly.
