Hi. I have only just today noticed that my wife was listed as having taken my birth last name, even though she didn't take my name when we got married. Geni should not assume that people follow this patriarchal tradition by defaulting to the wife taking her husband's surname. Also, in many countries this wasn't even the tradition in the past, so this default setting is not appropriate for a global website.
