Unable to merge incorrect entries

I detected incorrect entries when my uncle created two entries for the same person with incorrect information. However, when I attempted to merge the two entries to remove the incorrect one, I get an error
"Cannot merge this profile with his ex-wife"

What can be done to fix this?

  Hi Srikant, when we click on the link, we see that the merge has already been completed. Were you able to resolve this? If not, can you specify which profiles you are trying to merge?

  Thanks. Since the profiles are not the same, instead of merging, we disconnected No Name from Alamelu Parthasarathy.
