I am trying to get into my family tree and nothing is happening. I also have had someone add a whole bunch of people to my family tree. It is so disheartening. I was trying to go straight back up my family lineage, without adding their siblings, and children, etc. Now, I can't even find my great grandpa or father back because there are hundreds of people in the tree now.
Perhaps that's why it won't load.
What can I do?

I'm having the same problem. My tree won't display.
Happening for me too, and isn't dependant on browser.
It is happening to me as well. I am on Windows 10, using Chrome browser. Was working fine qbout 5 hours ago. If you click "tree" in main menue, it reverts to the home page. Also if you post into discussions, instead of redisplaying the discussion thread, it goes to home page. Also after adding/modifing profiles using Smart Copy, there is option to display tree. Instead the home page displays.

There seems to be a redirect issue. I can't edit people from the tree either.
There has been a problem, but it should work again.

Geni tries to build a World Tree, so you should be glad other people add to the tree. If you do not like that, maybe My Heritage would be a better platform for you. You can find your ancestors from the Actions report: https://www.geni.com/list/ancestors

If you are having trouble locating your relatives in the tree, you can click the "Go To..." tab at the bottom of the page to bring up a list of everyone in that tree view. Simply click on their name to be taken to that person's place in the tree. If you want to view direct ancestors in the tree view, you can click on the gear icon at the left of the tree and check the box "Direct ancestors only" and save. Note you can also customize the number of generations to display too.
