I have removed my FTDNA results from Geni and would like to re upload my autosomal and Y results, however, I am unable to do so. When I go into partner appications on FTDNA it says that I am still connected to Geni. I have sent numerous emails, made calls etc toFTDNA over the last 3 months and they say that the problem is with Geni. The green disconnect button just doesnt work!! Has anyone else experienced this and if so how do I get it sorted?

Geni Support Team Official comment Hi Tyrone,
Unfortunately, the FTDNA customer service rep is mistaken. Family Tree DNA is currently working on a fix so users will be able to disconnect and re-connect their results. They are making progress and will hopefully have their fix released soon. -
Bjørn P. Brox Take a closer look: In the Connect Now window there is a checkmark under the selection for who's DNA for overwriting previous mapping.

You could probably also disconnect your DNA upload in the DNA tab on your own Geni profile. -
Tyrone Harold Jewell Hi Bjørn,
Thanks for your reply, however, Once I click on partner application I am taken to a screen that has an option to disconnect. When I click on the disconnect button I am taken to a screen which has 2 options. The first is "cancel, keep it" and the second is "yes, disconnect ". When I click on the green disconnect button nothing happens! I cannot access the options you are referring to.

Geni Support Team Hi Tyrone,
This issue should be fixed now. Can you please try disconnecting and reconnecting your results from the Family Tree DNA partner applications page? https://www.familytreedna.com/my/partner-applications
