Duplicate Family Members

My father has been creating duplicate family members for people whose accounts he doesn't have permission to manage and now the tree is a mess. I'm married to the same person twice. My husband is two people. And my father keeps adding my daughter to his new duplicate and I can't get him blocked from messing with her account.

I sent him the instructions on how to delete a user, but he says the options listed in the article are not there. Not sure if he's just having a temper tantrum and lying, but I'd like to get the duplicates resolved and somehow block my father from updating anything for my in-laws. They're getting email spammed and getting pretty mad.

 

Any ideas?

  Michelle, I've merged all the duplicate profiles that I saw.  As for your father creating new duplicates, that may be something that needs to be worked out via discussion.  The options for notifications are here if your in-laws want to change them: https://www.geni.com/account_settings/notifications or they could learn about blocking: https://www.geni.com/account_settings/blocked_users/

  Trust me a "discussion" has been had (it was more of a scolding). :)

  Hopefully his bad behavior will cease. But at least my tree looks bad to normal and accurate again so all of my hard work has not been for naught!
