I consistently filled in only the baptism dates when we only know that date and not the birth date.
However in many many places sibbilings with different dates are still marked as inconsistencies to resolve, where they are clearly not.

The inconsistency occurs when children with the same names, no birth dates, same parents, but different baptism dates are merged. It would help to give a better warning on the merge screen.
Also it would help to show the baptism/burial dates when ordening profiles when the birth/death date date are empty (that would make it more easy to order them correctly and make it more obvious when they are not the same, preventing some of the bad merges)

My comment above was not correct, there is an inconsistency when the profiles are not yet merged, but a data conflict when they are merged.
The inconsistency should not be raised and Geni should not indicate those profiles could be duplicates.
There are a large number of bad merges due to Geni indicating a possible duplicate for these kind of cases and it takes a lot of effort for curators to correct those bad merges.
