I tried to do the trial offer, numerous times, and it says "too many cards" ????
I looked up problem solving on this and it says the issue has been fixed? It has not been fixed? What do I need to do to get a free trial/membership?

Geni staff has to reset the counter, so you should contact them or be patient till they see your post here.
