Possible Complaint: My mother was recently called by someone pretending to be my son. The caller somehow learned of our family relationships and used it to scam my mother into wiring thousands of dollars to the Dominican Republic because she was told that her oldest grandson was being held by the police while he was on vacation there.
I do not know how else someone could know my son's name and my mother's name and that he is her oldest grandchild.
