I'm trying to change the date of death for my father ... right now you have him being buried in 1999 (when he died), but listed as dying in 2005. How can I do this ... his name is Herman August Molder.

Jeff, Geni Curator Normally, you would edit the profile, mark the person as deceased if they weren't already, then edit the date field. But often this question is asked in regard to a family member who has passed away that was once a Geni member on the site, in which you don't have permission to edit their profile because it is claimed. In that case, you need to report the person as deceased to Geni, so they can release the profile to the family. http://help.geni.com/entries/20470882-How-do-I-report-a-profile-as-Deceased-

Jeff, Geni Curator Sonja, I see no one replied to your question from November. I'd be happy to plug you into that tree so you can edit that profile. What you can do is just add your father to your profile, then we can merge the two.
