Algorithm of relationship calculator has a bug

Relationship calculator is not working properly when viewing path.

Eg. father of my 4th grandmother is related directly to his daughter as father, but relationship calculator give him a long path through another relation:

http://www.geni.com/path/Markku-Karjalainen+is+related+to+Matts-H%C3%A4m%C3%A4l%C3%A4inen?from=6000000032660910556&to=6000000035959866743

She has a short path through few relatives:

http://www.geni.com/path/Markku-Karjalainen+is+related+to+Maria?from=6000000032660910556&to=6000000033178621123

Why the relationship calculator doesn't pick the shortest path, but very long path through 34 relatives instead? 

Also there should be a refresh-button to renew incorrect path.

  Is Geni just a collecting money, but not interested to fix the bugs?

  Relationship calculator is a very basic element of every genealogy site,
