a bug or this site is weird

Hi

today I started my account. A free one.

And each time I try to look at the info about another person I am sent to a site with ad for the paid account.

But when I am not on this site with an account but just on the internet reading about this person here on geni,then I am permitted to do so.

but as soon as I have opened an account you start to harrass me and just send me to the webpage for a trial.

I do  not want any free trial on any website that ask for my creditcard info when it is free.Sorry but I do not like to be treated that way.

I guess I just have to close my accunt to be able to use geni.com

  Geni's Enhanced Search is one of the Pro membership features.  http://help.geni.com/entries/61378330-What-are-the-benefits-of-a-Geni-Pro-membership-

  So you're being prompted for using that tool, Geni's advanced searching.  They're not trying to trick you.  You are welcome and able to use a basic search engine on the Internet (with or without an account) as most of the deceased profiles on Geni are public. More advanced searches offered by Geni require a pro subscription, which has the ability to filter on dates, locations, family members, living profiles, etc.
