I sent a private message today using the path below:
User Profile > Clicked "Send Message" > Composed message > Clicked "Send" > Returned to Message View with "Message has been sent" on the top of the screen under the menu bar
After the message was sent, it did not appear in my list of "Sent" messages. Is this a bug? Was the message sent? Or did the other user block me?
Geni have Spam protection that sometimes goes crazy and blocks you. File a bug report and they'll release your sent messages queue.
Mona - This is consistent with what happens if the other user is blocking you - that is probably the explanation.
I think that if you are blocked by a SPECIFIC user, you do not get success message when you send the message to him.
In any case, what I experience with the spam protector is not related to block by a specific user:
it blocks almost all my outgoing messages (messages within family are still allowed), until GENI support wake up and release them
